
Scholarships
Purpose
ARN Greater Philadelphia Chapter provides funds to chapter members in good standing in order to support them in their own
professional development and/or the chapter's development. Professional
development includes, but not limited to, formal and informal educational programs, continuing education activities, preparation for certification, certification process, research activities, educational materials, etc.
Applicant Requirements
In order to qualify for the scholarship you must be a Chapter Member in Good
Standing. This is a member our chapter for a minimum of 1 year and has attended meetings and/or has participated in chapter activities.
Awards
On an annual basis the committee will oversee the dissemination of a total of
$1000.00. (This amount to be approved annually by the Board).
Application Process
The applicant must submit a completed application to the Committee Chair by
August 15 for monies to be awarded in the Fall and by January 15 for monies to be awarded in the Spring.

Internal Selection Process
The Chairperson of the Professional Development committee will fax each
of the received applications to its members. The members will complete a checklist
including comments to assist in the decision-making process. The
applicant will be notified within 30 days of the application.
Responsibility of Award Recipient
It is suggested that within the year following the award of grant funds, all awardees provide feedback to the membership at large in some way regarding their professional development activity, experience, i.e., submit an entry to the newsletter,
Rehability, present a brief summary at a monthly meeting, etc.
