Greater Philadelphia Chapter ARN will be a leader in building, disseminating and translating the science of rehab nursing into practice
Strategies:
Activities this past year:
On December 1st, 2011 this committee sponsored its annual event "The Greatest Escape" An Evening at Maggianos. With over 85 people in attendance and generous sponsors money was raised for RNF, the Rehabilitation Nursing Foundation and Access Sports: an organization that promotes community integration to individuals with disability through donating tickets to community events like the Phillies and Eagles.
The members continue to support, advise and mentor the Professional Development Committee's SIG in their research project.
Anticipated activities being discussed in committee meetings:
Email blast with a survey, to determine ARN members’ expertise level in Research/evidence based practice, and what areas of research they are interested in. The feedback we receive will determine the CEU Educational Program that Ruth Mooney will develop for a power point presentation on EBP. With consideration of a discussion with members who may speak on behalf of their facilities to share their experience with how EBP affected their practice.
When does the Committee meet?
